Hilary,
Thank you very much for what is a very comprehensive report. I will let you know how I get on with school on your recommendations.
Best regards
Abigail
I'd like to thank you SO much for all your support and help with all of it and I will fully recommend you to anyone we know who may need your expert input. It is possible that we may still need to ask for an assessment as we will be applying for a statement and the LA EPs are.... over-worked...!
In the meantime, please accept our thanks and gratitude for everything.
Best wishes,

Dear Hilary
Just a quick note to say we changed Oliver’s schooling this term at your advice.I am thrilled to say that he is very very happy. It was the best decision. He thrives in the small environment and the streamed diverse curriculum. Although he gets distracted and still doesn't perform I don't think at his best level, he is certainly achieving a lot more, reading soundly etc and as I say the main thing he is happy. It is so good to see my little boy dying to get into school everyday! Thank you so much for the advice and apologies again for the mishap with payment at the end.
Yours

I would like to thank you for the detailed report and evaluations carried out at both our son’s school, and our home. The report has crystallised our concerns and provided a much more definite statement of A’s needs. We now have clear grounds to argue a case for our application for a specific secondary school. In addition, once he actually moves school, we can now evidence our concerns that he will need additional support to support his dual exceptionality. It was fantastic to see him really pushing himself to do well in the aptitude tests and amazing to find out quite how bright he really is. He was also very happy with the work you carried out in his school, in particular the way you were able to observe him during the day without any of his class-mates realising what was going on.
All in all, despite the stresses involved in making a very important decision for A’s future education, your visit was very relaxed, professional and informative. Thank you!
Best regards,

‘Your report was 'spot on', described K perfectly and I actually found it quite hard to read because you described him and his problems so well that I found myself thinking, gosh, how do I cope with him!!’ LH (Mum)

Outcome: Tribunal ruled in parents favour, following my assessment and visit reports.
Hilary has a happy and outgoing personality who is full of energy and enthusiasm and this flows and is demonstrated throughout her work. Hilary's assessment and consultations have always been very thorough and being independent she is not afraid to "say it like it is". The report that was produced was a very fair, well balanced, and honest one which was completed on time within the timescales that Hilary had specified. Furthermore Hilary had set out how the statement should read, a lot of which, later found itself word for word in the final statement. This process can be scary especially when a tribunal date is looming, having Hilary on hand has been a real assurance as she has always been happy to listen and offer support. I would recommend any parent to engage the services of Hilary, my friend said "think of it as an investment", and knowing what I know now, I couldn't put it any better myself .’

‘Dr Dyer provided a very efficient and professional service to us by way of thorough reports and detailed recommendations in her capacity as an Independent Educational Psychologist.
Dr Dyer’s reports included a Check on our child’s Statement of Special Educational Needs, Psychology Assessment, Visits to our preferred school and the LA’s named school.
On the basis of these recommendations the Local Authority agreed to redraft part 2, amend parts 3A and 3B and named our preferred independent school at Part 4. They agreed to provide SEN funding into the school.
Dr Dyer’s flexible team approach, coupled with an out-of-hours service, enabled us to meet tight LA and SEND timescales and deadlines. Her high quality reports were forensic-like in their attention to detail. She was positive, proactive and supportive throughout.
Dr Dyer’s services would particularly be of interest to parents looking for an experienced Independent Educational Psychologist with a strong record in SEN Tribunal Expert Witness work.

I wish I'd had you in our camp when we were battling through the system. I'm sure that many parents must thank God they've met you and for the help you give them and their children.
I wish there were more like you and really look forward to meeting you.
Kindest regards. God bless.

Dr Hilary Dyer is a fabulously enthusiastic lady. I was very pleased when she emailed me, out of the blue, asking if she could attend my talk to the National Autistic Society - North Somerset branch? Could she attend - I was THRILLED!!! And it was wonderful for the parents who attended to have time to chat with her and get her advice. I am happy to point you towards Hilary. Her energy and passion, for helping people caught in the SEN system, were infectious
